Our mission Cime Aventure organises and produces adventure activities of short, medium and long duration, designed to help participants become familiar with and appreciate natural environments. Our activity program is based on sustainable development that respects the nature and culture that characterise the Gaspé Peninsula. Our services Cime Aventure proposes canoeing activities on the crystal-clear waters of the Bonaventure River, sea kayaking along the Gaspé shoreline and hiking on the International Appalachian Trail. With its packages, Cime Aventure proposes a full range of services, including: transportation, the equipment needed for the activities, accommodations, meal service and the services of accredited guides to accompany participants. For our partners (travel agencies, wholesalers, etc.) and for groups of 6 or more people, Cime Aventure can organise made-to-measure packages that include a variety of services and activities (canoeing, sea kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, etc.). Our short excursions Some of our excursions last only a few hours or a single day. Whether you decide to do the down-stream run from Cime Aventure to the sea (9 km), paddle from the Duval to Cime Aventure (12 km) or from St. Alphonse to Cime Aventure (18 km), you don't need a lot of experience or athletic training! We offer a variety of watercraft: canoes, various types of kayaks, rabascaws. One of them is sure to suit your needs and level of experience. Our guided packages Short duration: the Explorer, 24-hour, School, Coach and Group packages. Long duration: the 3- or 6-day canoeing, sea kayaking and hiking packages. Check our departure dates, these packages are only available on a reservation basis. Cime Aventure Located in Bonaventure on the Chaleur Bay (Gaspé Peninsula), the Cime Aventure resort is the staging and arrival point for our packages, and is only minutes away from the Bonaventure provincial airport, and is connected to the village centre by a shuttle service. You'd rather travel by train? The station is also not far away, nor is the bus terminal. Camping and tepee accommodations, eco-lodges, or accommodations in a chalet built on wooden pilings (with or without kitchenettes) The Cime Aventure resort lies on the banks of the Bonaventure River and boasts a campground in the heart of a woods, away from the noisy bustle of civilisation. There is a sanitary building housing showers, toilets and washbasins. A washer and dryer, firewood and ice are also available. Of Native American inspiration, the tepee sector holds nine tepees designed to provide accommodation for from 2 to 50 people. Inside, the tepees are equipped with wooden floors, central fire-pits, and single and/or double beds. Picnic tables and a fireplace complete the outdoor area.
Meal service and organised activities For a complete meal or a simple refreshment, our varied menu will satisfy the most discerning palates. A sheltered terrace along the riverbank brings the pleasures of the table and the splendour of the scenery together in a relaxing setting. Whether you are organising a get-together for your family, a group of friends, social club or students, come and enjoy yourselves in the pleasant atmosphere of the Odysseus tepee. Shuttle and equipment rental service You are experienced enough to be able to set out on the river without a guide, or you have your own material and you merely want to use the shuttle service! All our services are available individually, you can use the shuttle, rent watercraft, equipment or certain accessories. At the resort, there is also a shop where you can buy specialised camping gear. The Bonaventure River In the Micmac language, the name of the Bonaventure River is "ouagamet", which means "clear water". Considered to be one of the ten most limpid rivers in the world, it rises in Bonaventure Lake in the Appalachians. Bordered by a fascinating boreal panorama, the Bonaventure flows for 126 kilometres before emptying into Chaleur Bay.
