FROM CIME AVENTURE TO THE SEA From the Cime Aventure resort to the river’s mouth on Chaleur Bay, this is a half-day outing (includes transportation and preparation). The nine-kilometre downriver run features quiet waters and a few small rapids. Perfectly suitable for beginners, this excursion calls for no particular experience and is even accessible to young children and the elderly. A relaxing outing, it is a most enjoyable first encounter with the river. THE DUVAL A tributary of the Bonaventure, the Duval River flows into it at majestic rapids where salmon and bathers mingle. Twelve kilometres to admire the renowned clarity of the Bonaventure River! An intermediate-level run that poses no particular difficulty, its waters are generally calm and you have only a few rapids to shoot, including the “Malin”. Here, then, is a half-day outing that allows you to enjoy some extraordinary scenery. THE ST. ALPHONSE An eighteen-kilometre descent on the marvellous Bonaventure River. Travelling over calm water and a few rapids, this is a one-day excursion that promises you a good time as you let the current carry you along. Stop for a snack on one of the shingle beaches that border the river, take advantage of the enchanting setting to relax while you keep you eye out for a salmon or two. This is a popular outing for families and friends. Let the enchanting scenery work its spell!
